I’m having a girls’ night with myself which means I’m trying ALL THE FACEMASKS

I thought I’d share my favorite face mask recipes with you; all of which you can make at home and are super cheap!!!! WOOOOOO!!!!!

Here they are(:

  • Coconut oil + lemon juice + turmeric powder
    • ½ tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp coconut oil (liquefied)
    • 2 drops of lemon juice
      • SIDE NOTE: Turmeric can STAIN the skin if you add too much. Tread carefully. Turmeric is ORANGE so please be careful and don’t leave it on for too long. It’s not a permanent stain but still. No Oompa-Loompas allowed.
  •  Another Turmeric mask recipe:
    • 2 cups rice flour
    • ½ tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tbsp yogurt*
    • 1 tsp of honey*
      • Mix until consistency is even and all clumps are gone
      • Apply to clean face
      • Let mask sit for 30 minutes
      • Massage your skin right before rinsing the mask off – it feels soooo good with the rice flour as an exfoliator
      • If skin is stained with turmeric or feels too greasy, use a mild cleanser afterwards
      • Pat dry with a clean towel and moisturize!
  • Fade acne scars with: Oatmeal Face Mask
    • 1 cup water
    • ½ cup of oatmeal
    • 2 drops of lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp of cinnamon powder
      • Bring water to a low/medium heat on the stove
      • Add oatmeal and lemon juice (for exfoliation and cleansing)
      • Let it cool for a bit and then add cinnamon powder
      • Stir evenly
      • Now the mask is ready!!
      • Apply to clean skin and leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes
      • Apply a little bit of moisturizer after you’ve gently rinsed it off and patted your face dry with a clean towel.
      • Repeat about once per week for a month then once a month for every month onward.
      • Watch your scars fade away!
  • A coffee scrub for my fellow caffeine addicts
    • Coffee
    • Coconut oil
    • Cinnamon
  • Breakout Prevention Mask! Stop the breakouts before they start
    • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
    • 2 tbsp pure honey *
      • Mix ingredients until smooth
      • Apply to clean skin and rinse off gently with lukewarm water after 15 min.
      • Some skin may react to honey, perform a patch test before diving in on this one
  • Aspirin spot treatment? Makes sense I guess.
    • 1 uncoated aspirin tablet (I’d recommend the lowest mg dosage possible)
    • 1 tsp pure honey*
    • A couple drops of water
      • Crush up the tablet and well as you can. I usually grind them up using the back of a spoon on a cutting board
      • Mix honey, water, and crushed tablet until consistency is even
      • Use as a spot treatment for unsightly pimples
      • I usually only leave this on for about 20 minutes and it works wonders on those below-the-skin, painful SOB’s.

Let me know how they work out for you if you try any! “Leave a comment” link is at the top of this blog post. Don’t be afraid to freestyle and add your own twists!
